Welcome to the ARLIS/NA Texas-Mexico Chapter website!

The Texas-Mexico Chapter is one of seventeen chapters within the Art Libraries Society of North America (ARLIS/NA). Our membership is comprised of a wide range of library and information professionals – students, practitioners, retirees, and art and design enthusiasts. The majority of our membership includes professional who currently or previously worked at an institution in Texas and/or Mexico, but we welcome interested members from all geographic locations!

The Chapter meets twice a year, in the spring and fall, to conduct our business meetings, and in the fall we have a research roundup (mini-conference). These meetings are an excellent way to interface with colleagues and learn about member research activities and happenings at members’ home institutions.

The Chapter is delighted to be the host Chapter for this year’s 51st Annual ARLIS/NA Conference in Mexico City, Mexico (April 18-21, 2023). Many of our members have dedicated their time in service to the Conference Planning Advisory Committee and look forward to welcoming ARLIS/NA colleagues for what is sure to be a fruitful and memorable conference experience.

To stay apprised of Chapter news and activities, please join the Humanities Commons, and read our biannual chapter newsletter, The Medium.

Sincerely,

Hillary Veeder
2023 President, ARLIS/NA Texas-Mexico Chapter
